I decided to forego sleeping in this morning in order to go with Todd to see the exotic car meet-up that he’s been to a couple of times. So I woke up early (meaning 5:30 am, in order to get in 2 hours of running/walking) and we headed to Redmond at 8:30.
I was surrounded by lots of testosterone, powerful engines, and rare cars. It was pretty interesting for me, having grown up with a dad and brother who are both car enthusiasts. But mostly, I enjoyed it because I got to test out my photography skills, and these cars were awesome subjects.
I loved the mix of newer and older cars, flashy and modest, crazy and classic. I ended up with about 200 pictures, but narrowed it down to my favorites (photos, not cars).
I wish I could’ve recorded how awesome this Porsche Carrera GT sounded as it drove away…oh man. It got me excited for the Blue Angels airshow coming up this summer.
Ah, the Lotus Elise–a favorite of Todd’s. I can’t really tell if it’s smiling or scornful, but I think she’s cute.
I’m no car expert, but I can’t imagine carbon fiber seats would be comfortable whatsoever.
And my favorite one….our Baby Blue.
(Not so ‘exotic’, but she’s a whole lot of fun, and several hundred thousand dollars cheaper)
