  1. A Europreview

    September 30, 2009 by Katie

Wow. Post-vacation has been really busy for both of us, catching up on being gone from work, unpacking, cleaning, and just trying to find time to relax.  As a result, this has left us with minimal time to go through all of our photos together.  But I don’t want to leave you in complete suspense for much longer, so I picked a ‘few’ photos out as a teaser of what’s to come.

A small photopreview of how we spent our time in England, Switzerland & France:

We enjoyed our fair share of beer, cider, wine & panaché (hey, water is not free in European restaurants like it is in the States and often it is more expensive than beer. So….yeah).

Drank a lot of coffee and ate tons of cheese, chocolate, crepes, croissants, & quiches.

But we also kept a healthy balance with miles of hiking and walking up millions of stairs.

We spent hours traveling on trains, tubes & trams.

    I jumped around. A LOT.

And we saw amazing sights everywhere we traveled.

And most of all, just enjoyed taking pictures, experiencing Europe, and being with each other—celebrating an awesome first year of marriage.

Please stay tuned for a full recap. We’ll get around to it eventually….

  2. Back in the U.S.A.

    September 25, 2009 by Katie

You may be wondering why we’ve had a long absence….well, our blog got to take a nice long nap for 3 weeks while we embarked on our Europe trip—or what I’ve since named ‘Todd & Katie’s Most Excellent EuroAdventure2009′.

We just arrived back home to Seattle last night and now I feel like I need a 3 week nap.  Aren’t vacations supposed to be relaxing??

What a whirlwind it was; our days were overflowing with awesome experiences in foreign lands.  We can’t wait to share more about our travels and let you see the wonderful sights we did (be forewarned—I believe we came home with about 5,000 pictures that we get to sort through).

In the meantime, don’t mind me if I am speaking random words of German and French.
