Winter is lingering

February 26, 2009 by Katie

As we were going to bed late last night, I looked out our bedroom window and was delighted to see giant snowflakes softly floating by.  No, I didn’t go out and play in it, but I just loved the peacefulness of watching them float by.  And I wanted to scoop them up and drizzle raspberry syrup on top!

It snowed just enough to appease me and my love of snow, but not enough to cause this city to go into a freakout (which doesn’t take much at all).  Sadly, by this morning, it was already disappearing.

I walked with Todd to his bus stop and then headed to my eye doctor appointment.  It’s kind of weird seeing snow and vibrant pansies coexisting, but I like it.

From there I decided to make a morning visit to the public library.  Not really to check out any reading materials, but just to enjoy the awesome architectural design and meander my way through the book spirals.  I could spend hours and hours in the library and not even open a single book.

I found my way up on the 9th floor and passed by the travel section.  I grabbed a seat by the window and decided to do some research for an upcoming trip we’re planning:

EuroTrip 09!

More details on that at a later date.  Time to go do flight research and I should probably get myself one of those passport things, right?  :)
